When you are exposed to certain things, it opens your eyes. You see things that disgust you and you tell yourself,I don't want to be like that or I don't want to do that. On the other hand you see something one time and fall completely in love with it.
I have found my niche in life. There is nowhere else I would rather be than in the healthcare industry. It is challenging, it requires a lot of knowledge, and you get to help people.
I have realized why people get into this profession, it is called passion. Passion is a necessity because there isn't much else to motivate you. The job is hard, it has long hours and is not always the most lucritive. For some reason though it is interesting and the best thing that ever happened to me. I don't think that I could do any other job in the Navy and I know that I won't be able to do anything else after the Navy.

I'm glad you've found your niche :) My medical terminology teacher told us that " In medicine, people will mistreat you, but it is your job to put forth your best effort and put on your best qulities so that the have no chance to misjudge you." I don't know if that makes sense, but just know that you're doing a good thing and people will always see that if you're making sure they do :) Love you bro.
Brian -
Since you were much younger you wanted to "be a doctor". While many of the things you wanted to in life changed - being a health care provider never did.
Now, more than ever, I am convinced that it is the niche that God built you for. He has wonderful plans for you. He is developing you into a career where you will be able to help people in a physical way. And, he has just as equally equipped you with the same type of "passion" to reach out to them and positively influence them in an eternal way.
You will be able to share your skills and talents as a medical professional and as you do so you can sahre with them the impact that the "Great Physician" has had on your life and what He can do for them.
"You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore"
Enjoy all the new and wonderful discoveries that God has for you!
All my love...Dad
Hi Brian,
I agree with your Dad, you have such an opportunity to share Jesus Christ and your testimony with so many. Don't hesitate to share what the Lord has done for you. The Lord is returning soon and there are so many that still need him.
I love you B and pray you will be home soon and kept safe.
Love ya lot's Aunt Esther
P.S. Lord willing we will be in Wisconsin when you return
