Hi Bud,
I'm so glad to see you're putting info on your blog again. Keep the pictures coming as they keep us close to you. Oh by the way, Blaze really misses you chasing her all over. Now that Sarah's back, she's a happy little (BIG) puppy again. Dad will send a picture of his toy soon.
Love you

Just found this blog when searching google images of rota. My husband and I are pcs-ing there in two weeks. Thanks for the preview and pictures! Maybe we'll all meet?!
I have a friend that is also in the Navy. He is stationed at Rota too. If you see him say hi to him for me. his name is Matthew A. Daniels. He'll know who I am. I am from Texas. I wish you the very best, and I will keep you in my prayers. and may God keep you and all of the other soldiers safe.
I was stationed at Rota Naval Air Station from 1976 to 1979. I was with the Tactical Support Center (CTF-67). It was so hard to leave. Now looking at the town with Google Earth, I can hardly recognize it.
A 4 bedroom apartment cost $110.00 a month. Smokes were .25c. My favorite place to hang with my Sailor and Marine Corps pals was the Sangria Shack. Good times were a plenty.
